Scuba Diving - the night dive at Fredericksted Pier is among the best night dives in the world. There are >50 dive sites around the island, and many sites are wind protected, so you are nearly certain to have good dive conditions every day of your trip. There are also world class shore dives including the 13,000 foot drop at the Cane Bay wall.
02
Snorkeling - swim in from one of dozens of beaches or take a boat tour to the Buck Island National Park snorkel trail. Our neighborhood beach, Shoys Beach, has the best snorkeling we have found on St. Croix. If you swim out to the right (East) just inside or outside the line of waves, there is wonderful coral and amazing fish. We've seen nurse sharks, turtles, lobsters, and hundreds of reef fish at Shoys Beach. The middle of the Shoys Beach area is mostly sea grass but we've seen a spotted eagle ray and sting rays swimming in the sea grass.
03
Golf - if you're looking for a world-class golf trip, go to Bandon Dunes - but St. Croix’s 45 holes are a lot warmer than Bandon and a nice diversion from days looking for or acting like a fish.
04
Kayaking - including night kayak tours on the bioluminescent Salt River.
05
SUP - Practice your standup paddle board skills at Rainbow Beach or numerous other places across the island.
06
Boating - motor or sailing - cruise to the other Virgin Islands or just out to Buck island for a day in the sun.
07
Fishing - deep sea, inshore, or spear fishing. There's always something to catch.
08
Hiking - venture down to secluded beaches like Jack and Isaac Bay, the Carambola Tide Pools, or up into the mountains.
09
ATV tours - Gecko tours is a ton of fun and a great way to see St. Croix from a new perspective.
10
Zip Lining - Carambola Zip line tours is wonderful way to enjoy St. Croix.
11
Horseback riding - Take that bucket list ride through through the surf.
12
Surfing - Yes, there's even a surfing school on St. Croix.
13
Parasailing - If you'd like a higher view of St. Croix or Buck Island, try one of the parasailing companies.
14
Neither last nor least - chill at any of dozens of beaches that are easily accessible, quiet, and comfortable. There are dozens of places you can pull your rental car off the road and have your toes, or mask and fins, in the water in seconds. Both Shoys Beach and Tamarind Reef Beach are within walking distance of Casa Gibo Del Mar.
